Boab Carvings and Rock Eggs

Kelton Surprise, (aka Guitar Man) not only leads the band in Millijiddee, but is also one of towns resident artists. His Boab nut carvings are starting to fetch a pretty penny. This double sided nut above reflects his people and local landscape. He also carves them into porcupines (echidna) and other local fauna. When in Broome, look out for him busking.

The photo below is of some of the rocks found around the St Georges Ranges. Seemingly formed from prehistoric sand bubbles, I have been told that the sedimentary rock found there formed in a time before life on Earth, as there are no traces of fossil life to be found in the rock.

Kadjina Camping



With a swag and some supplies, we walked up the creek to the base of the Kadjina hills.
The locals say they were formed during the dreamtime, when the rainbow snake curled up for a night's rest on it's way to the Great Sandy Desert.
